Aims:

Outline content:
Attendance at school placement for 4 weeks working alongside an experienced teacher. Discussion with professional colleagues in school, planning and teaching small groups in core curriculum subjects and specialism. Taking some responsibility for whole class activity, and becoming involved with the wider life of the school. Supporting individual children in small groups in fulfilling tasks set by the teacher. Working to the National QTS Standards. |
Brief description of teaching
and learning methods:
The student will work alongside an experienced teacher and will implement the ideas and principles met during one or all of the taught modules ED1CE; ED1CX; ED1CS and ED1PF. They will learn through discussion, reflection, teacher feedback and gaining practical experience. |

Satisfactory progress towards meeting the Standards for QTS as reported by the school and University tutors. Students will be expected to keep a professional school experience file.
