  • To enable students to consider, and critically analyse the development and implementation of policy in health and social care.
  • To examine changing approaches to governance in health and social care
  • To explore the concept of evidence based policy and practice in health and social care
  • To identify the practitioner’s role in the strategic development of policy at PCT level

  • Brief description of teaching and learning methods:
    The emphasis will be participative methods, which promote though and discussion and encourage reflection. This module is taught through a combination of lectures and workshops. Students are encouraged to draw on their practice experience and to transfer their learning to the practice environment
