Autumn Term:

  • To give students information on placement opportunitiesFB2PY 0 credit module for their year in industry
  • To explain the variety and location of potential placements
  • To describe the process by which placements are obtained
  • To prepare students for the application process
    Summer Term:
  • To prepare students for their placement year
  • To ensure that students receive Health & Safety guidance
  • To explain the assessment process for their placement year
  • To give guidance on appropriate behaviour whilst on placement
  • To give guidance to students on how to handle difficult situations whilst on placement

  • Assessable learning outcomes:

  • Students will identify suitable placement opportunities and receive offers from placement companies.
  • Those students who decide to take a placement will have a successful year in industry

  • Additional outcomes:

  • Students will make an informed decision about whether or not to undertake industrial training
  • Students will have the ability to make sound judgements on which companies to apply to
  • Students will feel confident that the placement they have chosen is a good opportunity for them
  • They will complete a successful year in industry
