Aims:

Assessable learning outcomes:
Students will be able to assess passive, mechanical and electrical building systems in terms at their environmental performance and impact. The following will be covered:

  • Passive environmental design
  • Heating, psychrometry, ventilation and air-conditioning
  • Natural and artificial lighting
  • Acoustic
  • Electrical and IT systems

  • Additional outcomes:
    Knowledge for application in project work related to other subjects within the course.

  • Intelligent Buildings and Innovation: (3 hours)

  • Acoustic: (1 hour)

  • Fire Protection: (1 hour)
  • Electrical Power Systems & IT: (6 hours)
