Aims:
The module aims to consolidate learning of social work theory and key skills of communication, teamwork and problem solving

Assessable learning outcomes:
The students will show the ability to critically analyse a variety of social work interventions, and to develop their skills in reflection on their own practice. They will demonstrate the development of key skills through collaborative work within tutorial groups.

1. Ability to critically reflect on practice.
2. Ability to apply theory to practice.

Additional outcomes:
Students will be encouraged to examine their own values, skills and learning needs as a newly qualified worker.

Outline content:
Discussion of practice experience with relation to underpinning theories, methods and value dilemmas.
