Drawing skills will be developed and enhanced and students will also increase their IT skills by use of CAD software and relevant web resources and databases. Students will play a part as a team member undertaking building surveys and gain practical experience in the use of levels, theodolites, and tapes.

The module is based on the need to meet a client's brief to refurbish existing buildings. The module starts with an examination of a client's brief followed by a series of site visits to several buildings owned by the client.
