Aims:
To introduce the ideas and methods in the modelling of particle dynamics.
Assessable learning outcomes:
By the end of the module students are expected to be able to:
• formulate and solve appropriate problems in particle dynamics
Additional outcomes:
At the end of the module students will have made further progress with pattern recognition, becoming more aware of a coherent structure in mathematics, as opposed to isolated problem solving.
Outline content:
The course is devoted to the study of particle dynamics arising from Newton's laws of motion.
