Aims:
The aims of the module are that the student should further their understanding of modern approaches to perception.

Assessable learning outcomes:
By the end of the module the student will be able to:
• Show knowledge of theory and research in aspects of perception, in the form of written examination answers.

Outline content:
Example topics: auditory perception; vision and eye movements; haptic perception; cross-modal interactions in perception.

Brief description of teaching and learning methods:
(a) Lectures and demonstrations on perception.
(b) Recommended reading in perception.
