Aims:
The aims of the module are that the student should further their understanding of social psychology.

Assessable learning outcomes:
By the end of the module the student will be able to:
• Show knowledge of theory and research in aspects of social psychology, in the form of examination answers.

Additional outcomes:

Outline content:
Example topics: attitudes; attributions; inter-group relations; stereotypes and categorisation; the self.

Brief description of teaching and learning methods:
(a) Lectures on social psychology.
(b) Recommended reading in social psychology.
