This sub-theme includes research that is broadly concerned with the factors that impact on children’s healthy development, such as nutrition, parenting style and maternal physical and mental health, or with the genetic and environmental factors that influence the progression of developmental disorders such as autism, dyslexia, ADHD and language impairment.
Researchers in a number of Schools are collaborating with health care professionals and primary care workers to investigate four key research areas: Developmental Disorders; Family Health, Social Relationships & Child Psychology; Feeding, Nutrition & Physical Health; and Patterns of Language & Cognitive Development.
